Jeff Bezos Childhood and early life
Jeff Bezos was born on January 12, 1964, the son of Jacklyn Gise and Ted Jorgensen. His mother’s ancestors were homesteaders living in Texas who had owned a 25,000-acre ranch near Cotulla for generations.
Bezos’ mother was a teenager when she married her father. After she ended her marriage to Ted Jorgensen, she married Miguel Bezos, a Cuban immigrant who studied at the University of Albuquerque.
