University of the Free State
The University of the Free State popularly called UFS was established in 1904 and is a public university with many campuses located in Bloemfontein, the Free State’s capital. UFS houses around 31,000 students enrolled and are made up of three campuses with seven faculties.
The three campuses are Bloemfontein Campus (also known as Main Campus), Bloemfontein South Campus, and Eastern Free State’s Qwaqwa Campus. Along with being well regarded for its academic accomplishments, this university is also known for its commitment to racial harmony and compassion.

Central University of Technology
Both direct and online learning is available at the Central University of Technology, generally known as CUT. It has two campuses that have a combined enrollment of almost 20,000 students.
