• The Motheo Technical Vocational and Education and Training College was formally established on April 1, 2002, as part of the rationalization of the technical college sector from 152 colleges to 50 mega institutions, laying the groundwork for the new Technical Vocational and Education and Training Sector.
• The Motheo TVET College was formed by combining the Kagisanong College of Education and the venerable technical colleges of Bloemfontein, Hillside View, and Thaba Nchu.
